“Arbor” translated from Latin, means “Tree”, hence the name chosen for “Arbor Primary” which is nestled among the many streets named after trees. Our school crest begins with a tree growing from a mine dump symbolizing the beginning of the town “Benoni” and thus the subsequent growth in education. The branches of the tree symbolize the unity of purpose… three branches are used to remember the three schools that provided Arbor Primary School with learners when it first started, namely “Benoni West”, “Rynfield Primary” and “Tom Newby Primary”.
“Aequitas”, our motto, means “Fairness to all”. A motto that we find particularly relevant in our country, South Africa. Arbor Primary School provides students with a rich and diverse learning environment with unparalleled teaching methods which help to launch our students into the successful future they have always dreamed of. We encourage both staff and students alike to grow, learn and create with each passing day.
